Mitchell was unable to cope with the loss and Angela was the source of inspiration for the song Angel the song, which is on Mitchell's debut album. Mitchell wrote about her incident in the book Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul and in the 7th Heaven episode Nothing Endures But Change.
